Off the Square

Who remembers Off The Square restaurant when they were located just off Kikar Zion?
If you do remember this restaurant from those days, you must be following the Jerusalem restaurant scene for a while.

About 15 years ago, Off the Square was one of the best kosher dairy restaurants in Jerusalem. It was also one of the only ones. The restaurant had levels, and party rooms, and they were often the venue for bar and bat mitzva parties, sheva brachot, and what not.

Enter the Intifada and exit Off the Square. The restaurant remained closed for almost 10 years. In 2010 this restaurant reopened, this time on Mesilat Yesharim St., at the other end of the downtown area. The new Off the Square is a quaint restaurant with room inside for up to 42 diners. They serve up a wonderful array of dairy and fish dishes, all prepared as they say “ala minute”. The menu is full of soups like French Onion, and Vegetable. Off the square is also known for its fish delivered market fresh every day. They also have many fresh salads, pastas and Italian dishes. The restaurant is now under the hashgacha of Rav Rubin.

Off the Square is happy to cater smachot of up to 42 people.
